- Ensure that the campervan is securely locked at all times when unattended.

**Motoring Offences and Penalties:**
Any motoring offences or penalties incurred during the hire period are solely the responsibility of the Driver, not Atlantic Way Campers.

**Fuel:**
Clean fuel is the only fuel permitted in the camper van. The cost of fuel system draining will be directly charged to the ‘Hirer’.

**Alternative Fuel:**
If any other type of diesel is used and the ‘Hirer’ is stopped and checked, they will be fully responsible and liable for any fines incurred.

**Hire Refusal:**
Atlantic Way Campers reserves the right to refuse any prospective hire arrangement due to incompetent driving, suspected alcohol or drug use, or any other reason.

**Cargo Restrictions:**
The camper van cannot be used to transport gases, liquids, or any corrosive or flammable material (except the camping gas provided).

**SECURITY deposit**
- The £200 ‘security deposit’ will be taken (separate from the rental fee) to cover insurance within the camper van, and will be fully refunded if no damage occurs. However, a portion or all of the fee may be deducted/lost if damage does occur, as follows:

**BOOKING Deposit:**
A non-refundable booking fee of £100 will be paid within 48 hours of confirming the hire dates by the ‘Hirer’.

**Tolls:**
Tolls must be paid when using the campervan in the Republic of Ireland.

**Fines:**
Any traffic or parking fines incurred and not disclosed while the campervan was hired will also be deducted from the excess fee.

**General:**
The ‘Hirer’ is fully responsible for any damage caused by neglect or malice to the vehicle.

The ‘Hirer’ is solely responsible for any legal penalties incurred while hiring the van, including speeding, parking fines, clamping, tolls, and so on.

The ‘Hirer’ is responsible for all their personal belongings. Atlantic Way Campers does not cover any items belonging to the ‘Hirer’.

Regrettably, we are no longer able to accommodate pets.

**Responsibilities of the ‘Hirer’**
The ‘Hirer’ is responsible for the cost of recovery for the van if it becomes trapped or bogged down. Vans are prohibited from being used on the beach.

The ‘Hirer’ is liable for loss of keys. If keys become locked in the van, the ‘Hirer’ will be responsible for recovery.

The ‘Hirer’ is prohibited from operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as per applicable legislation.

The ‘Hirer’ is responsible for regular oil and water checks, as well as promptly responding to any dashboard warning lights.

The collection and return of the camper van will be discussed during the booking process. A signed agreement (waiver) regarding collection and return will be required prior to release.

A full tank of fuel will be provided with the camper van. Please ensure that the fuel tank is left full upon return, or it will be deducted from the security deposit.

Upon return, the camper van must be refuelled within a 5-mile radius of Strabane using clean fuel.

We kindly request that you return the van in the same condition as it was left. Any damage that occurs may result in the deduction of the security deposit.

A cleaning fee of £50 will be charged if the van is left in an unclean condition, including a dirty sink, uncleaned cooker, unemptied wastewater etc. The overall van must be clean.

In the event of a breakdown or accident, the AA breakdown service is available to the ‘Hirer’. Details will be provided with the camper van. The AA breakdown service covers breakdowns and relays back to the point of hire.

Please report any breakdown immediately to Wild Atlantic Way Campers.

The ‘Hirer’ acknowledges that Wild Atlantic Way Campers will not be responsible for any consequential expenses or additional costs incurred in hiring alternative vehicles, late arrivals, illness, travel expenses, or any third-party connection with a breakdown or accident.
If a replacement vehicle is available, it will be provided. If not, Wild Atlantic Way Campers will refund unused days (only if there is a breakdown).

In the event of an accident, please gather as much information as possible, including the name and address of the other driver, their insurance details, and whether the police or Garda need to attend. If applicable, provide their reference number. Additionally, take any photographs taken at the scene.

The Hirer must contact Atlantic Way Campers as soon as reasonably possible.

Cancellation by the Hirer:

The Hirer has five days before the hire date to cancel. Any payments (excluding the £100 non-refundable fee which can be used towards future dates) will be refunded within 7 days of the cancellation notice. Cancellation notice received after five days before the hire date will incur a 50% of the total hire charge. The £200 security deposit will be fully refunded.

Cancellation by Wild Atlantic Way Campers:

If the camper van is unavailable due to circumstances out of its hands,  Atlantic Way Campers will offer an alternative vehicle (if available), provide alternative time or dates, or make a full refund, including the £100 deposit. However, they will not accept any further liability.

Wild Atlantic Way Campers reserves the right to cancel a booking if the full terms and conditions are not met.

A hard copy of these terms and conditions and a waiver must be signed before the rental.

Our goal is to be transparent as possible, with no hidden agendas or clauses. We appreciate taking the time to review the above T&Cs. Thank you!
